We all want to support our local cinemas, but the conveniences of our tech life have made it difficult. Inboxes cluttered with mail vying for your attention leave your local cinemas' emails unnoticed and unread. If you see that a film you want to see is showing, you may quickly forget about it as something else inevitably catches your attention. Scrolling through each nearby cinema's website can also quickly wear on you.
CineDates solves this by automatically populating your personal calendars with screenings. You can customise options with filters like distance to your home or work, film genre, decade, and more. Or, you can simply leave it on the default option and let us choose for you based on your selected cinemas.
If you have Google calendar, then CineDates can even suggest a time perfectly fit to your schedule with plenty of padding to make sure you're not rushing.
Once you click on a screening in your calendar, you will be able to see a brief synopsis (with link to the CineDates website) and ticket checkout option.
Want to have a centralised source to look at all films scheduled in London? Subscriptions will give you access to an advanced version of the CineDates website, where you can see screenings 30 days ahead at a time and refine them by film, director, time of day, genre and more. Press the + beside any showing to pick it, and it arrives in your calendar as a suggestion, taking the place of the automatic one for that day.
The subscription will also give you access to a monthly generated Google sheet or Excel file allowing you to export all of the events from London's independent cinemas. This will be automatically sent to your email at the beginning of the month or you can download it from your web account.
